How should I wash and care for scrub caps?
For our 100% cotton scrub hats, we recommend machine washing in cold water and hang-drying, since some cotton fabrics might shrink a bit with heat. But most of our customers just toss them in the laundry with no special care, and are very happy with the results. Iron as needed.
For our embroidered name bands, IMPORTANT-press the Velcro TABs together before washing. Machine wash cold, hang to dry, do not place into the dryer.
Satin-lined scrub hats should be machine washed in cold water and tumble dried on low.
What’s the best style for long hair?
The ponytail hat and the banded bouffant can accommodate quite a bit of hair.
The Euro/Pixie hat can accommodate shoulder length hair with a small pony or bun.
Do you have scrub cap styles for men or folks with short hair or no hair?
The Classic tie in back scrub hat accommodates those hair styles with short hair or no hair.
Do you offer sports team or university scrub caps?
Due to licensing issues, we do not actively sell sport team, university, or copyrighted content scrub caps. We do have fabric for sale or you can send us your own fabric and we are happy to make them for you. (see also our custom caps information below)
Can I send you my own fabric for custom hats?
Send me your fabric and I shall sew up a hat for you. PLEASE, NO FAT QUARTERS. (these pieces are too small)
Woven cotton fabrics only. NO KNIT OR POLYESTER FABRICS.
Custom fabric hats are $15 each. I will send an invoice when we receive your fabric.
Please purchase the following quantities of fabric PER HAT you wish for me to sew for you.
- Classic Tie in back scrub hat – 1/2 yard of fabric
- Pixie – 1/2 yard of fabric
- Banded Bouffant – 3/4 yard of fabric
- Ponytail – 3/4 yard of fabric.

Can I return or exchange my caps?
We perform a quality inspection on each hat prior to shipping. If you do happen to find a defect with your new cap, or if you receive an incorrect item, simply notify us and we will make it right for you.
We can accept returns or exchanges on U.S. domestic orders in new, unworn condition within 30 days with a return authorization. Just contact us at info@gigharbormarket for instructions. International orders may be returned, but due to shipping costs, we do not offer exchanges on international orders.
How long does it take to get my order?
Most orders ship the next day. (larger orders greater than 2 hats may take several days)
We use USPS, and it usually takes about 3 to 5 business days to receive your order.
You will receive a shipping and tracking notification email.

International order transit times vary by country. Please reach out to us if you have any questions.
How much does shipping cost? Do you ship internationally?
Shipping within the USA is $4.00. We offer FREE SHIPPING within the USA on orders of $35 or more.
International shipping is $13.99. (Canada is $11.99) We ship to many countries in EU, Asia, Australia/NewZealand, South Africa, Canada.
The fabric I want is backordered or you are out of a style I want. Can I still get this hat?
We try to keep plenty of stock on our most popular fabrics. Usually items will be back in stock within about 7 days. Please send us an email at [email protected].
Can I order a bulk shipment for my hospital or clinic or institutional setting and get a discount?
Yes, we offer bulk discounts, please reach out to us at [email protected]. We are glad to offer you an estimate/quote.
Do you offer coupon codes, discounts or gift cards.

Do you offer hat personalization?
